Skull & Bones Receives New Closed Beta This Week With No NDA, Features Coast Of Africa & More

Ubisoft has announced another Closed Beta test for long-delayed pirate romp Skull & Bones, and while it’s only available to PC users, there’s no NDA attached to it, so expect plenty of impressions to start dropping this weekend.

The latest Skull & Bones Closed Beta will kick off on August 25 at 3.00am BST (or 7.00pm PST on August 24 in the US), and will be available until August 28.

According to Ubisoft, this latest sneak peak at the swashbuckling adventurer will see players discovering the red isle and the coast of Africa, where pirate den of Saint Anne is located. This area is “ruled by John Scurlock, the local Kingpin” and players will be able interact with fellow gamers and NPCs alike, level up your weapons, skips, and equipment.

As you find your sea legs in the world of Skull and Bones, the most direct path forward will be main campaign contracts. These contracts will act as a guide as you build your reputation and discover more about the world. We highly encourage you to go off the beaten path and forge your pirate adventure!

Skull & Bones is currently in development for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, with a concrete release date still to be determined. Back in January this year, Ubisoft announced a sixth delay for the the game, and is now looking to launch it at some point between the end of 2023 and early 2024.
