Marathon is a signifiant project for Bungie as the game is its first new title in over 10 years, having been involved in development of Destiny and its sequel for the past decade. The game will feature Cross-Play and Cross-Save functionality between PC and PS5, although a release date has yet to be announced.

Here’s what Marathon’s Game Director, Christopher Barrett, had to say on the project when it was announced:

We have a tremendous amount of respect for the original Marathon games and, from the very start, we’ve wanted to honor that, especially the mythology, story, and themes of the world. At the same time, our vision for this game is something new. It’s not a direct sequel to the originals, but something that certainly belongs in the same universe and that feels like a Bungie game.

Marathon is coming to PS5 and PC.
