Blizzard’s Mike Ybarra has revealed on Twitter that players won’t have to wait as long between titles in regards to the Diablo franchise, suggesting Diablo 5 won’t take as long to arrive on the scene as Diablo IV.
In case you weren’t aware, Diablo IV took nearly a decade to launch; its predecessor was released in 2012, and Diablo IV only launched back in June this year. Ybarra also revealed that the development team has plenty of new content in the pipeline for ‘Diablo IV and beyond.’
Thanks @DMC_Ryan – we’re glad you liked it. And going forward, you won’t have to wait so long between titles. We have a lot more coming to Diablo 4 and beyond!
Diablo IV was released on June 6, 2023 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. You can read our full verdict on the dungeon crawler here.
