Telltale announced on Wednesday this week that it has delayed The Wolf Among Us 2 out of 2023 and into 2024, a disappointing announcement for many fans, but one easily understood once hearing what Telltale CEO Jamie Ottilie had to say on the subject.
So the soonest project we’ll see from this new Telltale is its upcoming project on The Expanse, and sometime after that, The Wolf Among Us 2.
Beyond those games however, Telltale also has a third, unannounced project in the works, reportedly.
We don’t know very much at all about this unannounced project, that’s part of the deal when something is unannounced.
Some fans may feel it to be partly frustrating, as it almost feels like they’ve been waiting for more than a decade for The Wolf Among Us 2, to look at Telltale and wonder why those developers on that third project aren’t working on The Wolf Among Us 2 to help get it ready.
But on the other hand it’s good to see the studio has a plan for what’s to come after. If it didn’t, then even after The Wolf Among Us 2 and The Expanse are through, it’d likely be another long while before we saw anything from the team.
Best to just appreciate that we even have Telltale back, and that more than anything it sounds like this new version of the studio is planning to stick around for the long-run.
