Sony Is Not Attending GamesCom 2023

It’s official: Sony Interactive Entertainment is not attending GamesCom 2023, continuing a trend that has seen the PlayStation console maker miss out on attending event for many years now.

That’s according to Gamesmarkt, which reveals Sony has no plans to attend GamesCom, although it will still have a presence in the form of third-party games on PS5. Sony has traditionally held press conferences at GamesCom, and as Europe’s biggest gaming event, there was a time where we would get some major announcements from Sony.

Unfortunately, with Sony not attending this year, Gamesmarkt points out that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is unlikely to have its own floor presence. Quite when the press will be able to go hands-on with the game is anyone’s guess.
