PS5 Sales In Europe For July Up 244% Year-On-Year, GTA 5 Is Back At No.1 On Software Charts

GSD data has revealed that PS5 sales in Europe during the month of July 2023 were up 244% year-on-year, as Sony‘s console continues to experience strong sales due to various promotions for the system.

Beyond the console’s success for last month, year-to-date sales of the PS5 are up 203% across tracked territories. As previously reported, Sony’s flagship console has been on a massive upturn of fortunes since the beginning of the year, as the PS5 is readily available following nearly two years worth of shortages.

Earlier this month, it was reported that UK PS5 sales for the month of July were up 68% year-on-year, with the temporary price cut for the console helping to boost consumer spending.

Meanwhile, Grand Theft Auto V has returned to the top of the charts, while the re-release of Red Dead Redemption for PS4 and Nintendo Switch has entered the charts in third place.
