Hello Games has brought foveated rendering to No Man’s Sky on PSVR 2 as part of its newly-launched Echoes update, and suffice to say, it’s quite a game-changing experience for users playing on Sony’s latest headset.
The No Man’s Sky Echoes update adds a wealth of new content for the space exploration title, but foveated rendering was somewhat missed in the extensive patch notes. It works in collaboration with the PSVR 2 eye-tracking technology and allows for a huge increase in visual fidelity, making an already-impressive looking game that much more sumptuous to gawk at.
Hello Games launched No Man’s Sky for PS4 and PC back in summer 2016, and has come a long way since its early days thanks to a series of game-changing updates. Not only that, but No Man’s Sky has made its way to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, further increasing its audience.
