North Beach Games and Free Range Games have announced the the digital version of The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria will launch for PS5 and PC on October 24, 2023, with a physical release for Sony’s platform arriving on December 5.
Based in the epic fantasy universe created by J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria takes place during the Fourth Age of Middle-earth, and follows the Dwarves as they attempt to reclaim and restore their homeland of Moria.
Summoned by Lord Gimli Lockbearer to the Misty Mountains, the company of Dwarves must use teamwork if they are to recover the lost treasures of their homeland, with players able to create their own custom Dwarf before exploring the mines, or team up online with a group.
Venturing deeper into Moria, players will have to forge powerful weapons and armour to defend themselves against the onslaught of goblins, arachnoids and other adversaries that block their path, while unearth the mysteries of the Misty Mountains along the way.
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is due out on PS5 and PC on October 24 as a digital download and December 5 at retail.
