Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s First Level Showcased During Gamescom ONL 2023, Beta Coming This October

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was, for a while now, the worst kept secret across the games industry, though now that it’s finally out in the open, we’re hearing plenty about it.

For example it just had a nearly 10-minute showcase of gameplay, with the game’s first level being shown off during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023, and the announcement that its first multiplayer beta will begin on October 6, 2023.

What’s more is that a day before the beta kicks off, on October 5, 2023 we’ll get a full reveal and our first real look at the game’s multiplayer, which hopefully means a look at the Zombies gameplay on offer, with it being touted as a huge part of this year’s Call Of Duty.

You can check out the gameplay shown of the game’s first level of the single-player campaign for yourself, here.

Multiplayer is obviously a big question mark as far as what the gameplay will look like, but another thing we’ve yet to see are these new “open-combat” missions we’ve been hearing about, which are something entirely new to the franchise.

For the first time in the campaign, players will have more agency than ever, with possible side quests and an open-sandbox area able to be explored.

It’s something new for Call Of Duty, which doesn’t really come around too often. Hopefully it’s a good change on the formula, and an exciting new avenue for the franchise to expand into.
